Emerging Professionals Group
The Emerging Professionals Group (EPG) is an initiative to generate visibility and increase membership among college and university students and those early in their Supply Chain Management and Procurement careers. The EPG hosts a program of events that provide value to those “up and coming” in the supply management field. EPG programs are always open to all ISM-Philadelphia members and to non-members as well. The EPG Program will host events focusing on three key areas:
NETWORKING + PROFESSIONAL DEVELOPMENT + UNIVERSITY RELATIONS

ISM-Philadelphia Employment & Academic Partnership Committee hosted a Supply Chain Panel discussion and Q&A about careers in Supply Chain at Temple University on Dec 1, 2016. The aim of the event was allow students to obtain a better understanding of what to expect when thinking about careers in logistics, supply analytics, sourcing, and contracting. The event was moderated by Irene Marnell and generated a lot of good conversation between the students and seasoned professionals. A big thank you to panel members Ed Scott, Frank Podlasinski, Dan Gallagher, and Dave Panzera for being on the panel and to Misty Blessey and Temple University for facilitating the event.
At the December Dinner Meeting on December 8th, the Emerging Professionals Group sold 50/50’s in support of the scholarship fund for young professionals, raising $545.00 toward the fund. A big thank you to Liz Powell from Temple University from helping with ticket sales and a special thank you for the generosity of Ron Heere, who purchased $300 in tickets and donated his winnings back to the fund.
