Corey Smith is a Strategic Sourcing and Diversity and Inclusion professional. With 25 years in Procurement and 20 years in Diversity & Inclusion (D&I), Mr. Smith is a subject matter expert in Strategic Sourcing, Supplier Diversity and overall D&I. Mr. Smith has worked in several industries in his 25 year career including manufacturing, technology, education, consumer products, entertainment, media and sports. Mr. Smith has been responsible for corporate wide Procurement and cost-savings initiatives as well as global Supplier Diversity programs. Mr. Smith has managed Procurement spend upwards of $3 billion and has taken Supplier Diversity initiatives and grown diverse supplier spend by as much as 400%.
In addition to Strategic Sourcing and Supplier Diversity, Mr. Smith’s overall D&I responsibilities include developing and implementing workforce and employee initiatives such as mentorship programs, executive rotational programs and Business Resource Groups.
Mr. Smith serves on several boards including Diversity Information Resources (DIR) and serves as Board Chair for the NY/NJ Minority Supplier Development Council. Mr. Smith holds a BS in Mechanical Engineering and a MBA, both from Columbia University
